Hi, I’m Sara Esboldt.

I am a birth doula and an OBGYN nurse that serves the Twin Cities. I bring medical and holistic approaches to labor and delivery of babies.

I am a mother of 3 beautiful children. In 2019, I had my daughter, unmedicated and natural in a rural hospital in Iowa. In 2022, I had my identical twin boys via c-section. This was a completely different experience. My pregnancies, labor and deliveries started my curiosity in becoming a birth doula.

I have been a nurse and really love being in Women’s Health and OBGYN specialty. I wanted more out of my career and finally decided to take the steps in becoming a birth doula.

In early 2024, I enrolled in birth doula classes with Childbirth International. I have had the privilege of doing an internship with Twin Cities Birth Center. In late 2024, I decided to launch my own birth doula business!

My Approach

I provide medical and holistic knowledge when it comes to being a birth doula. I am able to provide evidence base practices from both a medical and holistic standpoint.

medical approach

I am able to provide input, knowledge and advice when it comes to medical decisions that are needed to be made for you and your baby. I am able to break down what is being said, what decisions are being presented, and what the best options are. The medical approach isn’t only used in the hospital setting, but can be used in any setting that you chose to labor.

holisitc approach

Along with the medical approach, I am able to provide natural remedies to help provide comfort during labor. I am able to provide labor positions to help with relief during labor and delivery. The holistic approach that I provide can go hand in hand with the medical approach, so you can get the best of both worlds!
